Columbia River Maritime Museum is the official maritime museum of Oregon. It was founded in 1962. They display many items that represent the Pacific northwest’s Maritime history. All the collections are interesting and have some story attached to it. Visiting this museum can be a great educational and fun experience.

They have different projects and plenty of support for people who want to know more about the history. People of any age can learn from them. Specially for school students they have a program where a stuff of the museum can visit the school. This is a specialized program and students can benefit a lot. Schools can also choose from a wide range of resources that are made available for the teachers. To make it more exciting, museum tours can be arranged. This tours are not limited to school students only. People can arrange tours by themselves and for groups. The education department have three publications which they provide to the teachers for free.

The museum is specialized in collecting artefacts from Columbia River and the Pacific Northwest. They currently have thirty thousand objects and fifteen thousand photos. They have a library with research facility and huge collection of photographs for collectors.
