Crater Lake!!!

November 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Crater Lake is one of the most beautiful places in the entire United States of America. It is a cauldron lake in the sense that it was formed by the collapse of the land following a volcanic eruption. In this case it was the 3,660 m high Mount Mazama which collapsed around 7,700 years ago which in turn led to the formation of this beautiful lake.
The beauty of this lake is so breathtaking that it would not be enough to describe its landscape in just a few words. The Crater Lake is deep pure blue in color and is famous for its water clarity and is surrounded by the Cascade Range. There is also an old tree which has been near the lake for more than a century and is called “the old man of the lake”. There are many provisions here for camping near the lake which ensures peaceful and a comfortable stay with people willing to stay in tune with nature. There are also provisions for hiking and trekking for people who are looking for an edge to their vacation. Morover during winters the entire place around the lake is covered with snow and this make it an ideal environment for skiing. Hence this place not only guarantees a breathtaking view but also is a perfect place for people looking out for an adventure with nature.
