Stitches in Bloom Quilt Show celebrate all types of quilts and is a platform for quilt makers and quilt lovers to share their talent and quilts. It is a unique endeavor to promote quilting and quilt related activities and products to the masses.

Stitches in Bloom Quilt Show 2011 Show Details:
This will be the fourth official Stitches in Bloom Quilt Show at the Oregon Garden and is for all quilt makers and quilt lovers alike! Visit the Quilt Show to find beautiful and varied types of quilts on display, demonstrations on quilting and quilt vendors.
Also attend daily lectures by the featured quilt artists- Marsha McCloskey, Karla Alexander and Terry Grant. The 2010 Stitches in Bloom Quilt Show was a major success and had over 1000 attendees.
This year’s show has an amazing line-up of events in store for every participant and visitor! A 2 day workshop will take place; a quilt challenge EX300 exam and a Quilting Happy Hour at the Fireside Lounge have been planned for this years show.
A special ‘sneak peak’ Quilt show will take place on Thursday 27th, 2011. Tickets will not be sold at the door entrance and need to be purchased in advance (latest by the 26th of January) at the Garden’s Visitor Center or via phone. All visitors will be served light appetizers, tea and coffee at the show.
Many vendors will be present at the main show including bed-turnings by Latimer Textile Mill, art quilts from the Birds Eye View Collection and many more. A tram running from the Visitor Center to event Pavilion will be available to guide guests.
Have your Quilt documented:
Stitches in Bloom Quilt Show 2011 will have the Oregon Quilt Project present at the Show to document your quilts. The Oregon Quilt Project is devoted to preserving and documenting the history of quilts, quilt makers of the past and present from all over Oregon.
The process of quilt documentation takes approximately 30-45 minutes each, and requires all those who wish for their quilt to be documented to schedule appointments before hand.
A total number of two quilts are allowed to be documented. All quilt owners are requested to bring their quilts to the Education Building which is near the Visitor Center or entrance to the Garden between 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, the 29th of January 2011.
