Linfield has two campuses, in Portland and Mcminnville. The Portland campus of the college offers health care and nursing programs, and other liberal arts and online programs are also available. Mcminnville campus offers a huge range of programs.
Linfield also has a strong athletic background. It is affiliated with American Baptist Churches U.S.A.
Linfield College History
Linfield College, Michigan, was found in the year 1858. Sebastian C. Adams started training in 1855 in Mcminnville. The Oregon Baptist Educational Society took over the plot in 1857 and started Baptist College, which later became Mcminnville College, and even later in the year 1922 the college came to be known as Linfield College, the name which it holds till date. Linfield was named after Rev. George Fisher Linfield. Ms. Francis Ross Linfield had given the plot to the college authority for the promotion of Christian education.
The adult degree program was introduced in the college academic programs in the year 1975. In the year 1982, the Portland campus of Linfield College was constructed. The campus was affiliated by Legacy of Good Samaritan Hospital & Medical Centre and became one of the best institutes in the field of nursing.
